Chapter 4

1) The more labels and tags you add to a specific article or what have you, the more potential it has to be viewed. Tags are there to pull out the keywords of what it is you wrote about and help relate that to someone's search on a search engine.

2) Hierarchical organization leads you from the main page (or info) down to the lesser or more specific info. This is how most digital info is organized within web sites. You start at the homepage and you work your way from there. This is in contrast to simply organizing data by some other means, say each article organized all at the front page alphabetically. 

3) Flickr is an image hosting site. Users can share their pictures over the web, allow for browsing and downloading of other users. People use it to share their pictures obviously, but also stories that go along with the pictures, market their items and also to comment on ones work or photos. It is not uncommon to see Flickr being used to share private photos among families.

4) No, I do not see my self using Flickr. I use Photobucket for anything i need a host for. If I want to share a picture with people I know I just use Facebook. Flickr offers me very little compared to it's competitors.

5) I learned that utilizing social media for promoting purposes can be very beneficial, but must be given it's necessary time. You actually have to work with it and utilize it, not simply have an account.

Blog Discovery: Chapter 2 Homework

I found a site that sells trading cards and utilizes a blog to promote their site and provide previews of new cards that are coming out in various games and sets. The site and blogs are both titled Trading Cards-R-Us. Within their blog they host links to their actual sales site. Thier blog also allows you to sign up for their newsletter.

Chapter 2 Blog Homework

I'm a human, I think. I enjoy PC gaming, TV shows, movies and the moon. I also like to write poetry. Purple is beautiful and this completes my fourth sentence.
